Taildragger Air Ride Suspension with 1/4″ Airlines
The swivel fittings on the shocks make this unique. Be aware the 1/4″ airline is much stiffer than 5/32 and offers better chance to pinch lines when installing. We recommend 1/4 airline if you are doing a complete bike build.
Free Shipping! Xotic Customs Taildragger Air Ride Suspension with 1/4″ airlines. We recommend 5/32″ airline for most applications but make the 1/4″ airline option available. When compressed, the shocks measure 9 1/4″ and fully inflated the shocks are 14″ giving you 5″ of travel and the ability to adjust your ride height on the fly. Our Taildragger kits will fit any stock Harley with external shocks. Most bike models you will be able to ride 4″ below stock height up to 1″ over stock height.
When bolted onto a stock Harley, it gives you 5″ of movement. No adjustment necessary, simply bolt on the new shocks and plumb and wire the system mounting it anywhere. When the system is completely deflated the fender does not rub on the tire on STOCK applications. the shocks act as a bump stop. This means in case of a system failure you can still ride the bike. When the shocks are extended to their max there is no binding and plenty of clearance on STOCK applications (larger diameter exhaust may touch on the bottom of the shock fully extended). The dampening is consistent at any height except completely deflated and max height. When you have a passenger all you have to do is air up the system with a flip of a switch and you can still maintain comfortable ride height with the same great riding suspension. This kit is perfect for bikes with extended bags, getting your bike higher than any other air suspension to help prevent scraping through corners yet letting you lower it as much as possible without rubbing. All parts have a Liftetime Warranty!
If you are considering this kit for a VRod, be aware you most likely need to procure longer bolts and 1/2″ spacer for the bottom mounting bracket. Without the additional space, the shock bellow pushes the guard into the pulley.
You must check the clearance on your bike, we are not responsible for variations on a bike with clearance issues.
